1.为什么是hearing 而不是 heard

为什么witness后面是was to,而不是who was to? witness不是指人吗?

hearing…witness整个是个定语修饰前面那个人的，你可以先把这部分去掉看整个句子也是完整的，然后在看was to就好解释了，就是将要去做什么的意思
